Proposals for Spring 2020 are Due October 14th

We are excited to announce we are now accepting proposals for spring classes. Spring session runs January 2020 through May 2020. 

Nashville Community Education provides personal and professional enrichment for adults in the Nashville-Davidson County community. We offer classes in the following subjects: 

  • Art

  • Career

  • Create

  • Finance

  • Fitness/Wellness

  • Language

  • Legal

  • Life

  • Technology

We have classes in several locations around Nashville: Cohn School (where our office is located), Inglewood Elementary, Wright Middle School, NECAT, Nashville Farmers’ Market, and Platetone. 

Submit your proposal to teach with NCE and share your skills and passion with the Nashville Community.

Fall 2019 Registration Opens Today!

NASHVILLE COMMUNITY EDUCATION

Today is registration day for Nashville Community Education. We are excited to see students new and returning signing up for our fall 2019 classes.

Our popular classes, Spanish, Beginning Sewing, Oil Painting, and Yoga are already filling up fast, but there are still a few spots open and if the class is full GET on the waitlist.

We have an excellent round-up of new classes this fall: Music as Memoir, How Films Tell Stories, Salary Negotiation: Closing the Wage Gap, The Value of Minority & Women-Owned Certification, Print Your Tea Towels and Cards, Visual Storytelling, Individual Income Tax, Mandarin for Travel, Insect Basics, Black Women in History, Graphic Design Using Canva, Salsa Basics, and many more.

You can apply for a SCHOLARSHIP to take up to two classes, and there is still time to get a GIFT CERTIFICATE for your family and friends!

Nashville Community Education 2019 Open House Event

It’s around that time for one of our biggest events of the year, the Open House Event! This is a great time to come out, meet your local neighbors, meet over 30 of our fall instructors and register early for your favorite classes. Many people know that our popular classes fill up fast and if you are tired of being on the waiting list, you will want to be out there to register on Saturday.

The event features our instructors, many of whom will be available to talk with the community about their skills and classes and show example projects. Alongside our instructors, we have invited organizations and businesses from our community to share their great work with attendees. Free refreshments from Crème Catering.
